We're Reopening! Here's What to Know Before Your Next Appointment

Updated: Jun 1, 2020

We hope you and your family have remained safe and healthy during these challenging times.  Now, in the time of Covid-19, our mission is twofold: maintain the health and safety of our patients and staff, and continue to provide access to our remarkable services. We created a comprehensive reopening plan for our office that builds upon that mission. As we move to reopen our office, we want to share with you some new protocols we’re putting in place to keep you and our team safe for when you arrive in our office for an appointment.  In addition to the rigorous, medical-grade cleaning procedures we will be doing after each patent is seen, we are introducing new steps to safeguard your health starting Tuesday, May 26.

  • Physical Distancing: We are limiting the number of people present in our office. Appointments will be spaced out to reduce your physical contact with others when you arrive in our office. We encourage you to always maintain six feet of separation if possible, as recommended by the CDC. We will limit the number of people you encounter during your office visit including front desk staff. Insurance cards, licenses, etc. will need to be emailed to the office before your scheduled appointment to minimize contact with our front desk.

  • Remote Check-in: All patients will call our office to let us know they have arrived and are waiting in their car. Once an empty exam room becomes available, we will call you to come up to the office. We ask that you come to the office alone unless you require assistance, or you are a parent accompanying a minor. There will be no waiting in our waiting room.

  • Temperature Checks: Patients will have body temperatures taken upon office entry via touchless thermometers. If you have a fever, you will not be permitted to enter the office as recommended by the CDC. We will reschedule your office visit remotely via teledermatology.

  • Symptom Inquiries: Patients will be asked multiple times if they have Covid-19 symptoms throughout this process. We are doing this to protect you and our staff.  If you have any symptoms, we will ask you to reschedule your office visit remotely via teledermatology. All staff members will be asked daily about symptoms and will have their temperatures checked upon arrival for work as well.

  • Personal Protective Equipment: All our medical staff will be wearing protective equipment. It may be a bit jarring when you first see us in the exam room. Don’t be alarmed. We will be in protective gear from head-to-toe for the safety of all and to help reduce the spread of Covid-19. All patients and anyone accompanying a patient MUST wear a mask in the office.  Please bring your own mask.

  • Remote Check-Out: We will try to do full check-out remotely by calling you to make follow-up appointments and payments without you needing to stop at the front desk after your appointment.

  • Contactless Payments: All purchases including payments for products will be paid via the credit card you have on file which we will verify prior to your scheduled appointment. All purchases will need to be made virtually. If you wish to purchase skin care products from our office, visit our online store on your phone or on the iPad in our exam room.

Your safety and health are our top priorities. The steps we are implementing will facilitate that.  We look forward to serving you. Please take care of yourselves and each other.
