All of our aesthetic services are selected and performed under the medical supervision of Dr. Robin Evans, our in-house, board certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon. This is her medical practice and she is here in the office day in and day out.
If you have a medical issue, this is a critical bonus not found in spa and salon settings. If you have a spot, you need to have it assessed by a medical doctor in order to rule out cancer or other condition BEFORE your aesthetic treatment. This allows you to have comprehensive attention under one roof—ALL of your skin-care needs can be addressed right here with us.
Some spas claim to have a medical component, but you never see a doctor in the establishment or interacting with the staff or patients.
2 WE'RE LICENSED & CERTIFIED—OTHERS ARE NOT!
Our licensed medical aesthetician, Sandra, is highly trained not only as a certified aesthetician, but also as a nurse (RN) and a physician's assistant (PA). Sandra has an in-depth, scientific understanding of all things skin so you get superb results.

4 Our acne treatment facials are designed to thoroughly clean your skin. Blackhead and whitehead removal is the main focus of the treatment—not the light massage and a steam you find elsewhere.
5 Our medical-grade peels involve the use of natural salicylic and glycolic acids for deep exfoliation. Our aesthetician knows how to safely handle and neutralize these acids so no damage or unintended effects occur. She makes sure her hands and work space are free of these acids before moving on. If you have melasma, acne, sunspots, or anti-aging concerns, our peels deliver visible, precision results.
6 Our HydraFacials are designed to give you the best anti-aging facial available. Plus, we have add-ons such as lymphatic drainage to stimulate circulation and LED lights for acne.
7 Our microdermabrasion is performed with a medical-grade, diamond-tip device—not the low-grade device used at salons and spas.
8 We can assist you with medical-grade, skin-care products selected by Dr. Evans to give you maximum benefit. We are experts in tailoring protocols and pinpointing products that effectively address your individual skin concerns.
9 Our pedicures are safe because they are performed at a medical-grade level. All instruments are sterilized in a medical autoclave, a feature not found in most spas, salons, or nail shops. This protects you from infection. If you do have fungus in your nails or on your feet, we are happy to treat you because our aesthetician knows how. Not only has all of our instrumentation been sterilized, all of your supplies are for you alone—never to be used on another patient. This is safe for you and safe for the next client.
10 There is no tipping at SoCo Dermatology—this is a medical office, not a spa. Prices are ‘as is.’
