Get to the Root of the Problem!

Warts are very common, and most people have dealt with them at some point in their lives. The majority of warts are small and painless, and many will disappear on their own.

However, for those stubborn, painful warts that just won’t seem to go away, finding the right treatment can be a challenge. That’s where we come in! Now available at SoCo Derm, Swift Therapy is here to help get to the root of the problem to stop warts in their tracks.

What are Warts?

Warts are skin lesions caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). There are more than 100 different strains of HPV. Many of the strains cause ordinary skin warts, also known as verrucae. Though some are painless, others can cause discomfort and interfere with daily activities, particularly when located on the sole of the feet.

How Does Swift Therapy Work?

This cutting-edge treatment uses low-dose microwave energy to send heat into the wart, causing an immune system response that attacks the virus. Swift is different from many types of wart therapies in that it treats the virus from the inside out instead of treating the wart at the surface of the skin.

What to Expect from the Treatment?

Swift treatments typically require 3–4 cycles, with each treatment lasting around 5–10 minutes. Treatments are scheduled 4 weeks apart to align with your natural immune cycle. Between visits, you should notice your wart beginning to decrease in size. Swift therapy does not break the surface of your skin, so no bandages are needed.

Is Swift Treatment Safe?

Yes, this wart therapy is FDA-approved. You may experience mild discomfort for 2–3 seconds as the heat reaches the infected tissue. However, no anesthesia is needed, and any minor pain subsides immediately after the treatment is completed. Post-treatment discomfort is minimal and no at-home recovery is required.
